This Privacy Policy describes how AstroExif (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), developed by Stellar Flavor, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and sign-in credentials when you create an account using Apple, Google, or email.
• Profile information: your public profile (such as name and avatar) if you choose to use the community features.
• Photos and related content: photos you choose to publish to the community, together with their title, notes, capture settings and metadata (EXIF), and the copy of the photo stored on our servers. Photos and notebook entries you do not publish remain only on your device.
• Social data: who you follow, who follows you, and users you block.
• Reports: reports you submit about other users’ content, used for moderation.
• Usage and device data: anonymous, aggregated analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), including device model, operating system version, and app interactions.

We do not collect your precise location unless it is contained in the photo metadata you choose to publish. Please review your photo metadata before publishing.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with:

• Other users: your public profile and photos you publish to the community are visible to other users of the App.
• Service providers: providers that help us operate the App, such as authentication, cloud hosting and storage, and analytics (Firebase / Google), under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
• Legal requirements: when required by law or valid requests from public authorities.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data Storage and Security

Your notebook (cards, sessions, gear, and unpublished photos) is stored locally on your device. Community data is stored on secure cloud servers. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App or by email. See our account deletion instructions. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics for Firebase.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services, including Apple, Google, and Firebase, which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
